On June 16, 2026: Burnout Recovery for Cops and First Responders

THIS IS FOR:

Patrol Officers running on adrenaline, chronically under-slept, and tired of pretending that stiff backs, short tempers, and emotional fatigue are “just part of the job.” The one who wants practical tools to regulate their nervous system before burnout decides for them.

Dispatchers who absorb everyone’s emergencies while replaying tones in their head long after the shift ends. The one who’s constantly second-guessed, often unheard, and wants to take back control of their own wellness instead of being crushed by everyone else’s crisis.

Female Cops who carry the weight of the job plus the unspoken pressure to be twice as good with half the grace given to others. The one who’s balancing hormones, night shifts, family expectations, and a career that demands perfection—and wants to rewrite what “balance" means.

Supervisors who see their people burning out in real time and are done pretending “check on your wellness” emails are enough. The ones who want to model resilience, create a healthy culture, and lead without sacrificing their own sanity.

Meet your instructor

Hi, I’m Erica Gaines!

The CEO/Founder of TacMobility, author of 8 first responder stress studies, author of 9 training courses, a certified yoga instructor, and a current Sociology student at Arizona State University.

I started my career with law enforcement in 2013, where I sold switchblades at training conferences. As time progressed and I developed friendships, I realized that 2 things were missing in first responder wellness:

➡ Wellness techniques that you practice

➡ Engaging presentations that make sense to a tough crowd

My goal is to help first responders understand their bodies and identify their stress habits. When this happens, change happens.

When you feel better, you do better.

Performance, overall satisfaction, and personal relationships are tied to how well you practice recovery.

SALTY COP REVIEWS

“This class is something we need to do all the time. I feel as if a ton of tension and negativity has left my body. I feel great.”

"I rolled my eyes walking in. Walked out realizing I’ve been operating at 20% for YEARS. Game changer."

“I honestly believe if you had some officers on the edge with suicidal tendencies this class would help bring them back. A lot of the material is not just something you do once during the 30 minute class and never think of again, it is things that you can use for the rest of your career.”

"You can tell Erica has spent a significant amount of time talking with officers and trying to determine what would be helpful."

"Erica is awesome, made me feel normal in the law enforcement field."

NOW IS YOUR TIME

If you're doom scrolling before bedtime to “wind down” - submit a training proposal to attend this class immediately. This hands-on training will not only increase your knowledge around the effects of stress and trauma exposure, but it will erase mental health stigmas. With a new perspective and clarity of exactly what your body needs and how to incorporate recovery, you will walk away with a calmer nervous system and a plan.

Uncomfortable truth: the overwhelm you’ve been feeling, the tension in your jaw or the dull ache in your stomach are NOT the problem. Those are very important alarms going off in your body and you need to face them head-on before you can't ignore them.

The body keeps the score and sooner or later, your body will break down.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

ON THE AGENDA FOR YOUR TRAINING DAY

01

TRAUMA & STRESS EDUCATION

(Made Simple, Not Clinical)

Understand how cumulative stress, shift-work, trauma exposure, and agency culture impact your brain, body, and decision-making. No boring slides. Just real talk that actually makes sense for cops, dispatch, and every role in public safety.

02

RESILIENCY TECHNIQUES YOU CAN USE ON-DUTY & OFF

Learn fast, science-backed strategies to downshift your stress response in real time—inside a patrol car, at a console, on scene, or in the hallway between calls.

03

MOBILITY & STRETCH SESSIONS FOR CHRONIC PAIN RELIEF

Target the low back, hips, neck, and shoulders—the top four pain points in law enforcement. 2 glorious hours of (on-duty friendly) mobility drills are designed to reduce stiffness, improve posture, and lower chronic pain immediately.

04

EMOTIONAL REGULATION TOOLS FOR HIGH-PRESSURE MOMENTS

Know exactly what to do when frustration spikes, adrenaline hits, or your fuse is shorter than you’d like. Build control, clarity, and internal stability—even on the bad days.

05

A FRAMEWORK FOR PREVENTING BURNOUT

(BEFORE IT HITS HARD)

We break down burnout into clear phases so you know where you are, why you feel the way you do, and what steps come next to recover or prevent it altogether.

06

PRACTICAL STRATEGIES FOR BUSY FIRST RESPONDERS

Simple, doable changes—not more tasks. You’ll walk away with a real recovery plan that works with your schedule, your shifts, and your actual life.

07

HIGH-IMPACT GROUP DISCUSSIONS

No forced sharing. No “tell us your trauma” or “do you want to share?” Just guided, optional discussions that help teams connect, reflect, and find clarity in a supportive environment.

We blend science, movement, humor, and real police culture so the training sticks — and actually feels good to attend.

By diving into emotional intelligence (EQ) development along with hands-on training aids and group discussions, we discuss 4 areas of growth. Practice and apply evidence-based regulating skills that help you manage your stress more effectively

HARNESS THE POWER OF ADRENALINE

Using controlled stress inoculation, we’ll investigate your current resiliency levels and practice your unique adrenaline experience.

Become Self-Aware

You are in law enforcement for a reason. This isn’t about changing who you are, it’s about balancing the physical and mental side of the job so you can feel peace at the end of your week.

Enhance Your Relationships

Clarity about why you can’t wait to get off work but then immediately need alone time. Create deeper connections with family and friends in your personal life.

Purpose, Passion, and Peace

This training is an open call to feel more alive and courageously move in the right direction towards a balanced, healthy career – because you are more than your job.

DO I NEED TO WEAR SPECIAL CLOTHING?

We recommend clothing that allows for movement such as workout apparel or BDU’s that have enough stretch. Your shoes will come off when you do the myofascial release techniques so socks are recommended as well.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY?

The instructor will have everyone complete an injury form at the beginning of the class. Let them know what’s going on, even if it’s an old injury that doesn’t give you too much grief! The class is 8hrs and 2 of those are spent practicing recovery. You can observe and notate for later use.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY PAID TRAINING?

Notify us via email within 30 days of your training to receive a full refund via account transfer. Within 29-11 days of your scheduled training, receive a refund minus a 30% admin fee. If cancelling within 10 days of your training, we will issue you a voucher for the pre-recorded version of this training - no refund will be issued.

IS THIS YOGA?

No. The primary focus of the course is to explore the human stress response and practice ways to lower stress levels. You will experience 120min of mobility and some movements are yoga movements. But no, this is not a yoga class with a sequence of “poses”.

TacMobility wellness training will leave you with…

top 3 peer support problems

With over 120,000 people in our online communities, over 7,000 email subscribers and over 3,000 police officers trained, we here's what we know:

1. EMPLOYEE BUY-IN

If your peers are walking the opposite direction of your flyers, you have too many hurdles in place. We'll show you how to simplify your approach and increase engagement.

2. BURN OUT & FATIGUE

It's getting harder and harder for you to balance your assignment with the demands of checking in on your peers. We'll show you how to practice healthy boundaries and prioritize your own health - for their sake.

3. PROGRAMMING

It's great that you have 25 resources for your peers but if you're not being consistent, people will lose faith in you. Learn how to reverse engineer your program and resources for consistent support.

Do you feel the same way?

You have high expectations for the work you do but as you engage in the day-to-day, you quickly lose control of your intention to support your peers.

You long for an endless flow of energy and time so that you can bring purpose, authenticity and structure to your program.

Your wellness programs and workshops never turn out quite as you hoped and you want to get more people involved.

My desire to help others see their visions through and execute ideas has brought me feelings of such major fulfillment. I am thrilled to share my passion and bring feelings of clarity into your work through our new Advanced Peer Support Course.

02

NERVOUS SYSTEM RESET TECHNIQUES YOU CAN USE ON-DUTY

THE MOTIVATION TO OVERCOME CHALLENGES AHEAD

A SENSE OF BELONGING & FEELING “NORMAL” IN POLICE CULTURE

A BLUEPRINT OF A HEALTHY AND SUSTAINABLE CAREER

INVALUABLE SKILLS THAT GIVE CONTROL OVER EMOTIONS & CHRONIC PAIN

NOTICEABLY LOWER HYPER-VIGILANCE & A MORE RELAXED SENSE OF SELF

“I really loved the humor and real talk. I hate when people get up and present and become prim and proper. To me it is stuffy and not relatable. I would have loved for it to have gone longer!”

“I never realized how much my stress and hormones were impacting my career and relationships until I attended this training. It changed everything.”

“I walked away feeling empowered, energized, and in control of my life again. Erica doesn’t just teach wellness, she shows you how to live it.”

top 3 peer support problems

With over 120,000 people in our online communities, over 7,000 email subscribers, and over 3,000 police officers trained, here's what we know:

1. EMPLOYEE BUY-IN

It's great that you have 25 resources for your peers, but if you're not being consistent, people will lose faith in you. Learn how to reverse engineer your program and resources for consistent support.

2. BURNOUT & FATIGUE

It's getting harder and harder for you to balance your assignment with the demands of checking in on your peers. We'll show you how to practice healthy boundaries and prioritize your own health - for their sake.

3. PROGRAMMING

It's great that you have 25 resources for your peers, but if you're not being consistent, people will lose faith in you. Learn how to reverse engineer your program and resources for consistent support.

Do you feel the same way?

You have high expectations for your work, but as you engage in the day-to-day, you quickly lose control of your intention to support your peers.

You long for an endless flow of energy and time so that you can bring purpose, authenticity, and structure to your program.

Your wellness programs and workshops never turn out quite as you hoped, and you want to get more people involved.

Meet Your Trainers

Erica Gaines

Throughout my career, I’ve been inspired by the selflessness of wellness coordinators and peer support members, and also impressed by the balancing act many have to practice. My work is not only an observation of what's going on in the world of wellness in America, but a culmination of my research, experience, and passion working with police and other first responders.

My desire to help others see their visions through and execute their ideas has brought me a deep sense of fulfillment. I am thrilled to share my passion and bring clarity to your work through our new Advanced Peer Support Course.
