become a regional HOST

A cost effective and resourceful way to bring tacmobility wellness training to your region.

“It's not the responsibility of the agency to keep its employees well - it's up to the individual.”

While this might not be a popular opinion, we combine real science with real talk to empower your employees to take ownership of their health.

We've been researching and working with officers, dispatchers, tactical teams, supervisors and specialty units for 7 years and here's what we've learned:

Everyone Has Different Needs:

  • Line officers need both MH education and mobility for chronic pain in their hips, back, shoulders and ankles.

  • Dispatchers need breathing techniques to combat the rawness of caller crisis and neck stretches.

  • Tactical teams need breath-work techniques for controlling the OODA Loop during high-risk call-outs.

  • Supervisors need an outlet for the stress they carry for the team and way to identify stress symptoms in their people.

  • Specialty teams need body calming techniques and healthy boundaries to lower hyper-vigilance.

Controlling the Mind & Machine gave us methods and practical exercises that we can do on a day to day basis and when were on a call out, exhausted, and in the hot seat.

Interesting...kept me from wanting to fall asleep.
— New Mexico Patrol Officer
The mobility portion of the class was key for me. You really knocked it out of the park with the neck stretches. You made sense of each movement and made it relatable to what we do and feel every day.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the training schedule?

Training begins at 8am and ends at 5pm. We include an hour lunch break and (4) 15 minute breaks.

What’s required from us as the host agency?

A classroom that seats a minimum of 25, audio/video connections, mat room/mats for mobility or clean carpet that we can sit on.

Is this training evidence-informed, or is it just a motivational speech?

We use science-backed theories and trauma-informed techniques to explain the neuroscience behind stress. Our instructors are yoga certified for the mobility sequences and have over 1,000 teaching hours.

How will this training fit into what we already do for wellness?

We have found that while many agencies have a mental health education training, many rarely combine theory with practice and movement. Our courses are designed to bridge the gap between employees and your existing resources. We encourage you to invite your peer support or wellness coordinators so that the instructor can continuously incorporate them.

How much will registration cost us as well as outside agencies?

Registrations for the host agency are $349-549 and outside agencies are $399-599. The host agency is charged for 4 student registrations as a placeholder fee and given 2 additional seats for free (Buy 4 seats, get 2 seats for free). Placeholder fee is billed when the training is booked.

Are there are minimums for student registrations?

Yes. The training requires a minimum of 25 attendees. Each host should identify 3-5 agencies that can commit to sending 3-5 students.

Are there are maximums for student registrations?

No. We've trained groups of 300 - we bring additional instructors when registrations exceed 200. You will let us know what your maximum seating allows.
